LASU’s Internally Generated Revenue Rises from ₦3bn to ₦13bn under Prof  ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello
📚 EDUCATION NEWS | LASU RECORDS MAJOR GROWTH IN IGR LASU’s Internally Generated Revenue Rises from ₦3bn to ₦13bn under Prof ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello Lagos State University (LASU) has recorded significant financial growth under the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello. According to the Vice-Chancellor, the university’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) increased from about ₦3 billion to ₦13 billion between September 2021 and September 2025, representing more than a fourfold increase. She attributed the achievement to creativity, effective use of the university’s internal capacity and the full automation of financial processes to block leakages. During her administration, LASU also executed more than 50 infrastructure projects supported by the Lagos State Government, Federal Government, TETFund, private donors and internally generated revenue. The Education Information Society of Nigeria commends developments that strengthen the financial sustainability, infrastructure and academic quality of Nigerian universities.
