EDUCATION INFORMATION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA “Let the son of nobody become a somebody without knowing anybody.” www.eduinfosociety.org HISTORIC FIRST-EVER AWARD PRESENTATION For the first time in the eight-year history of the Education Information Society of Nigeria, we are proud to present our first-ever distinguished institutional leadership award to: PROFESSOR IBIYEMI OLATUNJI-BELLO Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU) Presented by the Education Information Society of Nigeria at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University. Since the establishment of EduInfo eight years ago, we have never presented an award of this nature to any Vice-Chancellor, institution, or university. Today therefore represents a historic milestone in the journey of our organisation. We give all glory to God for giving us the opportunity to recognise outstanding leadership in our educational system. We also proudly recognise Professor Tolani Sule, Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Lagos State, for his contributions to education and leadership. Today, however, we make history by presenting our first-ever Vice-Chancellor Leadership and Mentorship Award to Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello. We appreciate her motherly care. We appreciate her listening spirit. We appreciate her leadership. We appreciate her mentorship. We appreciate her commitment to students, staff, education and humanity. Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello represents the character, compassion and leadership qualities we believe should be found in those entrusted with the responsibility of leading our educational institutions. To us, she is not only a Vice-Chancellor; she is a mentor, leader and mother figure whose leadership has touched many lives.
